Nutzwerk has applied for 4 patents since it has been founded. In March 2002, the patent office in Munich granted the patent for the real-time data filter. This core technology is going to have a lasting effect on the internet. Security can now be guaranteed for every single user whenever somebody accesses the internet. This makes Nutzwerk one of the few companies in the world that own the patent for an internet technology that can be used worldwide. Patents and industrial rights are important for the long-term research and development in a company like Nutzwerk. But Nutzwerk does not aim at the exclusive utilization of its patents. One company would hardly be able to use the entire product potential of the individual technologies on its own. License agreements and partnerships are of equal importance as the marketing of own products.
