Press release January 10, 2002 Nutzwerk developed its own Online Shop It took Nutzwerk only two months to open its online shop on the internet. The shop is available in English and German and, together with detailed product information, offers all types of online payment. Apart from credit cards and invoice, payments can be made per direct debit or cash on delivery. The technical background of the financial transactions is provided by VIRBUS AG Leipzig. VIRBUS is the only technical service involved. The entire online shop has been programmed and implemented independently. "The biggest difficulty was not how to program the functions. The biggest difficulty was to provide worldwide delivery. Internet sales are mainly about tackling customs regulations, shipment structures and payment terms", says Olaf Berliner, product manager at Nutzwerk. "Our objective is to use our online shop to deliver our products to every part of the world. Considering that Germany is an exporting country, we were surprised that we encountered so many problems with shipment and other transactions", adds Rene Holzer, CEO of Nutzwerk. Parallel to the online shop, a partner program on a commission basis has started. For every sale effected through a webmaster Nutzwerk pays 50 dollars. After only a few days dozens of webmasters registered for the partner program. The imedia GmbH is in charge of processing the partner program. imedia offers tools for creating your own partner programs on the internet at www.webmasterplan.com and www.affili.net. Nutzwerk's solution partners also profit from this new online offer. "www.nutzwerk.com is now our central meeting point for interested users, partners and clients. Potential clients are passed on directly to our resellers. In addition, our partners have the possibility to integrate the ordering of our products into their own internet offer, with the advantage that not every partner has to build and maintain their own online shop", says Nutzwerk CEO Ramona Wonneberger. Even after a few days the online shop has payed off for Nutzwerk. Apart from handling orders from Germany, the first orders from Austria, Luxembourg and Switzerland have come in already.
